They have gone wild in Mexico!!!

I know of 3 girls in rl that either play or have played WoW. One of them is a friend I've had since freshman year in high school (sophomore in college atm), another is a friend since junior year in high school, and one is simply an acquaintance from my Philosophy 101 from last semester in college.

I am confident in saying that there are girls out there that play, but they are few and far between. However, I do not play this game to pick up chick (there are much better ways, I just do not know them yet =P) I play WoW because I want to escape (<===hopefully the bold/italic/underline/lg font drives the point home) from real life. In RL girls tend to be more of a hassle than they are worth, and thus, they may be worth a lot sometimes, but not enough.

As for me, Im not exactly attractive but Im far from ugly. 6'6" 260 lb brown hair blue eyes, I can at least get a g/f if I care enough, but I have yet to find the girl that I want (*edit*: who wants me back). This would mean she is intelligent, reasonably witty, fun to be around, and of course a gamer, and she likes me back (or else it won't work out for obvious reasons...). I've met all of these conditions except the last one three times now >_< but alas, I am only 18, and have my whole life ahead of me.

Getting back to the point... There are female gamers, but why not spend your time playing the game instead of worrying about whether that female [insert race here] who you are /flirt -ing with is really a girl?


I too will /flirt a lot of girls in the game for no reason, and I had one person the other day tell me they were a guy and "justify" why they were playing a female character. It was basically along the lines of "You get horny guys who see that your character is female and immediately assume you are as well and they will give you gold in a pitiful attempt to possibly have a remote chance at cybering with you." To me that seems like a stroke of genius, since picking a gender in the game doesn't mean you are that gender in rl, ppl just assume that. I had someone else justify it to me as "What do you think Im gay? I don't want to stare at a man's @$$ all day while running around playing this game!" Which makes so much sense it makes me want to cry for playing only males... But I have no intention of changing any time soon =P

I just realized what skilled actors WoW must gather, I mean those voices were damn near perfect last night when about 3 female voices were barking orders over teamspeak. I guess WoW is the new SAG
