Does anyone know if it is possible to put different music files as your background music in the different areas of WoW? I know FFXI had a program that encoded the songs or whatever into the right format and I wonder if someone has made a similar prog for WoW.

Thanks for your help!

I haven't personally inserted my own music in the game, mostly because I get used to the packadged music, but I would surmise that it would be a simple matter of simply location the music file you want to replace swapping it for one of your own in the same format.

I know awhile back someone linked to a mortal kombat UI at curse-gaming, but that was more addition than swapping.

I looked through the WoW folder but I don't think there are individual music files. I did however find a huge (over 1 gig) file called sound.mpq that I think might have music in it.

Why dont u turn ingame sound of and play your own music. Anyway i would think that if you did put ur own music in game and your in a area for so long and it keeps Replaying it would get rather annoying Smiley: smile
