First, how much ram do you have. A guy i know has 384 Ram, and it runs poorly, but it still runs. Anything below 256 your screwed, because windows uses almost all of 256 to run well.

Then it will never run it, and if you are running Win XP, i bet that runs like a fat kid as well.

Well, they do mark the system specs quite clearly on both the box, and their main site. I'm sorry about your situation, but you do have three options available to you right now:

First, you can purchase more RAM for your PC (if your PC allows for this). You can find RAM of various sizes and speeds at almost any electronics store or via the internet.

Or you can sell the game to someone else. You've openeed the box, so I don't imagine that the store you got it from will take it back.

Finally, you can get irrationally angry. I don't recommend this course, as you should have checked to see if your PC could run the game before you purchased it. It's not as if the hardware requirements are kept a secret until you open the box.

That's no excuse, really. If you're old enough to browse the internet, and read, then you're old enough to be an informed consumer.

Depends on your memory type. Given you only have 256, im assuming you have good ol' SDRAM, and a P2 or a P3, so you might need a whole new system.

Assuming you dont have a P2, or even a P3 which could be a bit slow, and you have an E-Machines that is just built with the minumum, you can easily upgrade it with new memory, which is cheep nowadays. I have 4 gigs in my PC, two 2-gig sticks, each costing $200 bucks, which isnt a lot for how much memory it is.

Its REALLY cheap if you have old SDRAM, and you could get it for probably $20 per 512 chip.

And if your that... uneducated, let your parents check everything before you blow their money on something, im sure they wouldnt be pleased about it.

your Best bet to allow you to play the game:

get more ram, i recommend at least 512 total to run the game.

as for what kind, I suggest you go to the website of your PC manufacturer and find out what kind of ram your PC uses, take that info to either a local store (best buy, circuit city, joe schmoe computers, etc) or buy it online. you shouldn't have any problems.

What are the specs for your computer?

Processor, Vid card, Ram all of these are important but if your ram is that low your processor might not be up to speed and you might even have intergrated graphics instead of a vid card and then you are screwed unless you buy a brand new comp.

256mb sdram runs WoW ugly, ive got 1024mb and its running very nice.

Well you can always learn from this experience. Besides, you say you're 15, you're supposed to ***** up and learn from it at that age.

The lesson here: software/videos/CDs cannot be returned when opened, so you should always make sure you can use it before you open it.

Another lesson to learn, if you're going to play computer games, take a little time to learn about your computer's hardware. Even if you can't afford the high-end top of the line hardware, you can scrape by quite nicely on cheap stuff. In the end it all boils down to memory (both RAM and Hard drive) and video. The more memory you have and the faster your HDD, the more fluid the game will run. Bigger and better vid cards make your games look nicer. Yes, the other hardware is important too, but that's the basics for you.

Oh and getting pissed off about things never ever helps the situation, just say "aw ****" and move on. You'll find things work out a lot better when you can calmly look at the situation. :)
