the massive piece of me that was lost in all the speculation of release date has just come back. my headach from not getting my homework done is gone and everything seems right with the world again

The real reason I'm excited is that it will stop all the ******** and moaning that's been going on lately.
BTW, just because close beta is ending doesn't really mean the game is coming soon. Could still be months down the road before it's released.

While I usually agree with you, Seoman, I think this time the OB might actually be within one or two days. While they do need time to sort through the remnants of the last closed beta and get set up for the next stress test, every day that they go without a beta is a day without constructive feedback and disappointed future customers; knowing Blizzard they wouldn't risk it for very long. I think that we have very good reason to be optimistic...
You're right, though, in the sense that the game itself may not go gold for quite awhile. But, as long as the OB comes soon, I don't really care. :P

Glad I have vacation the week of Nov 22nd. I hope it is released by then. What a dilemma, one day to ski, one day to WoW, one day to ski, one day to WoW. Too much fun! See you all there.

I have pre-ordered at the Software. Etc store near me. When I checked with them on Friday, they said release date was 16 Nov and that it looked like that would be a firm date.
