Transfer to Square Enix account CommencedFollow

Alright, so I know I need to to transfer my playonline ID to Square Enix. I recently repurchased ffxi, I set everything up, billing, account info, etc. Once I open playonline I log in successfully but when I go to actually play the game I receive a message regarding the transfer process.

I went ahead and followed the Url given to me to start the transfer process. I logged into my square enix account on square enix's website. I then proceeded to go to the services and options menu. From here it prompts me with two links to ffxiv or ffxi.

On this page, you can add new services or perform actions for currently active service accounts.
Please select a service from below.

So i select the ffxi link. From there I have various options, one being, 'Please click here to transfer PlayOnline IDs not linked to a Square Enix Account.'

Once I enter my playonline ID and password i receive the following message. "This PlayOnline ID cannot be transferred.
Please contact the Square Enix Support Center for further details."

update: well after posting i continued to look through the forums and I found a thread related to pol content ID's.

Log into Square Enix account

> Services & Options (bottom left menu)
> Select Service
> Select FFXI
> Select "Options List" under "Active Service Accounts" (first option on the page)
>Select "Add New Options" nest to "Character" (again, first option on page)
>Purchase your desired number of characters.


Now you must log into PlayOnline. Get to the screen where you have the menu options on the left of Final Fantasy XI,
Navigator, Extras, Service & Support, etc... Choose "Navigator" and then choose "Handles" in the menu that pops up.

>Choose your handle, and you will see a menu pop up on the right hand side. Near the bottom will be "Content ID List"
>Choose "Link" and Link your Content ID(s) to your desired Handle.

i had done this, and i notice now im getting additional fee charge from click and buy since i transfer my pol account to SE. In 10 yrs i have never been charge additional fees and i find it strange. any one else see additional charges after doing this?

I'm getting an "International Transaction Fee" each month since Click and Buy is a UK company. Nothing else has changed for me.

If you're getting billed an International Transaction Fee by your bank, need to contact SE about it. There was something screwy with how C&B was billing in some areas, and SE was SUPPOSED to be getting them to fix it. Probly had something to do with C&B having a NY office and they weren't using that US footprint when billing or something.
