POL 2025??Follow

Ok, I was just camping a NM and looked away from my computer. when I glanced back I saw my screen was blank and an error had popped up. So I clicked, and it took me back to POL. When I tried to log back in, I get this message.

"You have no Content ID for FINAL FANTASY XI. Please obtain a new Content ID or reactivate a cancelled one in order to play the game and/or to use the PlayOnline services."

Soooo I check out the Content ID link to reactivate, and I get Error Code:POL-0019 Cannot connect to server. Please check network settings."

Does anyone have any idea what on earth is happening? Anyone else experiencing the same problem?



Clicked it again, I get the message: "The service is currently unavailable due to maintenance. Please try again at a later time." I was in past area, at the Fort(S)

SE is saying they are aware of the problem, and are trying to fix it as soon as possible. When that might be though, is anyone's guess. Someone mentioned in one of the threads that the EU accounts have been fixed, but since I'm from the U.S I have no way of checking.




Update II: 4/3/2011 10:14 AM

Today I logged in to see how things are going along. It gave me some new options about reinstalling my Content ID. It tells me that if I want to reactivate it, then I need to do it through the Content ID menu. So I go ahead and click, this time it lets me put in my information, no error code... until I need to put in my SquareEnix ID and Security code password.

This is what it gives me:

UCS-1104 You cannot purchase a Content ID. Please try again after checking the following:

*Make sure the payment information is valid. To ensure this re-enter and update your payment details even if they have not altered.

*Make sure your PlayOnline ID and Content ID's have not been Cancelled and reactivate if necessary.


I have been playing this game on and off literally the day NA version was released, I think somewhere around Christmas of 03 or 04. Hell will be raised if I find out that my character was deleted.


UPDATE III PLEASE READ

I just reactivated my content ID. These are the steps I went through to reactivate (and yes I had to pay 12.95 but it did work)

1. I restarted my computer
2. I immediately logged in, and went to Service and Support, and went to my Membership information. I clicked on update payment information.
3. It brings me to the menu describing the Visa & Mastercard Secure options, giving me a link that raises my webpage. I Filled out all the information they asked for (mine was VISA SECURE so I chose that btw) I basically gave them the exact same information that was there before, and when I was finished it prompted me to return to POL and continue.
4. Brought up the Content ID menu, and I saw my main & mule to be reactivated for 12.95 or what have you. I went ahead and paid, just so this would be over with.


I'm not sure if this will help anyone but it fixed my problem. I hope it will for you as well.

We just had two people d/c and are unable to get back on.

I wonder if SE's little heartfelt 'we aren't gonna charge you' is backfiring, lol.

I am kinda shocked, since any fees were supposed to be waived this month, and of course when I go to "proceed" I can't because the registration servers are down, also any call centers are not working atm since it's 1:30 in the morning.

Is anyone else by chance getting this?
This is highly pissing me off since I've been using the same card for over 5 years and never skipped a payment, at all.

Also was just about to start a fu**ing party on my NIN. Perfect fu**ing timing of course.

Same thing just happened to me also. Now at first, my main and original mule were kicked. But could access the last 2 mules i made. Then i got kicked off of those also and now says i must reactivate content ids. WTF

Same thing just happened to me also. Now at first, my main and original mule were kicked. But could access the last 2 mules i made. Then i got kicked off of those also and now says i must reactivate content ids. WTF

I feel your pain. I'm assuming they are working on it, from the maintenance message I got. Still it's fairly unnerving. Guess I'll just get some rest and hope it's all figured out when I wake up. If anyone finds any information please post it here. Thanks

Hmm, that is strange and a little dis-heartening. Only thing i can think of is that perhaps to those its happening to perhaps they re-activated their accounts, added new things to the account after the last billing cycle.

In the past when my account would lapse due to no money on my card at the time, when I would re-activate it, SE would only do a authorization for $1 to make sure the card was legit and had money on it but wouldn't charge me to catch me up until the next billing cycle. Perhaps this is whats happening.

but after seeing this.. its hard to say whats going on. I currently have no money on my card being the fee was waived and when i got up im still logged online. Hope it gets worked out for ya and doesn't take to long

Well I'm not getting the maintenance message anymore when I try to reactivate. It bring's me to the login menu that asks for playonline password.

Even when I give them the correct information it pops up with this message: UCS-5024 Invalid process. Please exit the current application".

When you try to login it talks about Registration Server Maintenance.(mar.31)

There were 2 Phases to this maintenance,

Phase 1: from Mar.31,2011 23:50 to Apr.1,2011 3:00(PDT)
Phase 2: Apr.2,2011 from 0:00 to 3:00 (PDT) * Maintenance completion time may be subject to change.


As well as:

"Also, if there is a problem with your payment method, you may be automatically disconnected from the game during the maintenance period. To avoid this, please complete all necessary billing changes in advance"

I got the same "Your card was declined..." Scenario - Which made me sh*t my pants and check my CC to make sure it hadn't been hacked etc.

Thankfully, I see that I am not the only one having problems, and my CC is fine.

Sucks that we are all forced offline again though >.>

this wouldnt be so bad if they would give us an extension notice. this isnt someone just b***hing this is them saying 0:00 - 3:00 PDT and it not being done (yes it says subject to change but they have still always given us an extension notice, ALWAYS) 40minutes after the said completion time is way beyond anything i would expect from a company taking peoples money. and dont say they arent the month is free, bc obviously for a lot of people, it isnt free.

Then when I go to reactivate my content ID I get the same error message others have been getting namely this: "UCS-5024 Invalid process. Please exit the current application".

My mom changed her credit card back in October and it took until February for SE (and me) to realize it but it accepted the new info without problems. March wasn't a problem either.

Obviously giving us a free month is causing way too many issues. x_X I hope they fix it by tonight cuz I got me a AF3 static to go to.

ok well i feel a little better now since we at least got an update.

Also, if you can still get into PoL and your just your content id's are inactive, i think you will be fine, as in no tpaying etc, just only activate 2 for the free month.

As for the unpaid fee's thing, idk there my fiance is in this group, im in group 1

Odd: I have 2 charges from SE in my bank account. 1 for 12.95 and 1 for 12.95. Fiance's account would = 13.95, but my account is 14.95, yet she cant get into ffxi. Very odd.

Yeah I just tried to log into the first time today and it gave me the "unpaid fees" BS, but I'm not going to touch any of my info until I see some type of resolution on their end...knowing my luck I would be ending up paying triple for the month instead of getting it for free...

However, for whatever longshot it may be, there HAS been another account attached to this card at one time or another, but it's been probably at least a year.

See, that's the situation my friend is in. Her and her husband use the same card. My wife and I use different ones.

Likely what's happened is that they single-credited the cards, then didn't bother crediting the accounts, and they stopped automatic billing to prevent a charge in case they messed up.

So that makes it so that they think anyone with multiple accounts didn't pay for this month.

Anyone who speaks Japanese want to try DM/@ the JP Twitter account or post in the JP forum? Same goes for any EU users who can post there in their native language. There are devs somewhere in that building but the EU maintenance was announced as completed. So, as of right now, no one in SE is aware of this issue.

Same problem here! Played last night (well into the late night) with no problems. Went to bed, when I tried to log on this morning it said I had no content IDs. My BF is on just fine and our accounts are set up on the same CC. I cannot even get into the CC area to try and force it to charge my card. Everywhere I go I get an error. Very frustrating indeed.
