What if you scratch or dent parts of the egg but all the pieces are still there?

That's considered decorating your egg.
If you submit a chocobo stable with one chicken egg nested in the middle, we're not going to take that. Either that or we'll just crop out your whole stable and leave your entry with whatever the egg looked like on its own.

Another contest update:
The egg fight will now take the top 16 eggs in the first poll, not the top 10. It was determined when looking at bracket setups that 10 contestants would result in some eggs getting a by. To avoid this, we've increased the amount of semi-finalists.

Serious question or not, I'll answer this anyway for the sake of others. We talked about this when we were deciding on the rules and we decided to limit it to chicken eggs only, as using larger eggs could be considered an unfair advantage due to the larger surface area.

You could have allowed larger eggs but limited the decoration area to the chicken egg size. >.>

Sorry about adding another question (hey at least i'm not adding puns lol) but do things like legs, arms, shells, horns, pinsers etc. have to be painted on or could we make those things? Like small arms holding a weapon or a shield? Just want to get everything right in my mind before I start =)

If you look at Usagi's, his has a sword and hat. That's fine. If your egg ends up being only like less than 25% of your thing though, I don't think we'd accept it.
I am so Eggsited about this competition. Everyones yokes are really funny.
I just made a jewelry box out of an ostrich egg for a school charity auction. It was the first time I attempted something like that and it actually came out nice and was fun to make. I have an extra ostrich egg and was making these great plans for this egg fight ---> then I read the rules about a single "chicken" egg!
This rule makes it REALLY challenging, but I love challenges so I am even more pumped!
Oh the ideas.... how do I choose?
What do people want to see the most: Funny, Cute, realistic?
Any suggestions?

It's really up to you. As long as it abides by the rules then we're fine with however you decide to decorate your egg.

I'd like to mention that the FOCUS of the entry has to be the egg. We got in a really nice entry, but the whole egg was dressed in costume and you couldn't even see the egg at all. You're decorating an egg, not decorating a costume with an egg. :(

Maybe this weekend I can sit down with my little niece and we could try decorating some eggs. Probably won't be anything special, but I don't know if she's ever actually done the whole easter egg thing yet since she's only three.

What we're going to be doing is discussing whether an egg passes. If it does, I'll reply back telling you good luck. If not, we'll let you know if it can be fixed.
If I was to send a pic of what my egg looked like now (doesnt look much yet lol) and told you my ideas would you be able to tell me if it would be counted as an entry? Would save me a lot of time in painting/designing.

What would be valid text regarding my Egg picture??
Does it have to come only from the auto translate function?
OR
Can the text we use be something that is a common quote or maybe a spell ectect that a character npc or a player character job would use / say in game???
please let me know because I'm confused about this rule in the game...
