Eggcellent. My evil plan is going Eggsactly according to my eggstrordinary plan! I'm afraid the details are still rather scrambled at the moment, but omletting you in on a secret: it involves shell games within shell games and a truely eggsquisetly eggonising pun at the end, which is perfect given our current eggonomic situation. Yolk now it when you see it!

Mwahahahahahahahahahahahah!

I shell now prepare hasty eggress to avoid the pitchfork wielding mob! (they can't take a yolk!)

I picked up the supplies I needed to get to work on my idea. I honestly don't know if I'll be able to pull this off, but if it turns out like I envision, I think I'll have a solid chance at winning.

I'd toss out an egg pun or two but honestly, they aren't all they're cracked up to be.

They were fun while they lasted, but nothing stays sunny side up forever.

Hmm, as I read the rules, basically anything you can attach to the egg itself is acceptable. It's just other bits and props used to make a full scene with your egg that's out.

As long as the egg comprises the majority of the creation and the items are attached to the egg itself. Basically, if there's more clay than egg, it's probably going to get disqualified.

Can I hard-boil the egg and then very very carefully split the egg lengthwise down the middle and decorate the two half-shells together as one entry?

The egg has to remain intact as a whole. You won't be allowed to split it apart.

Until after you've taken the picture anyway, no one wants to let a hardboiled egg just sit there... thinking of the smell makes me Nauseous

That's right. No puns. Smiley: mad

I was wondering about something related to this. Does the egg have to have egg in it?

Like it someone managed to make one or two small holes in the shell and drain out the innards somehow...

Not sure if it can even be done but it was a thought I had to counter come balance/weight related issues I was thinking of.

If you are in doubt, email us with your idea and we'll tell you if we'd strike it or not.

Basically, we don't want someone decorating say, a chocobo egg and then adding a big chocobo statue next to it to give an unfair advantage. The egg is what you're entering.

You can remove the yolk if you want (poke two holes in the shell, one on the top and one on the bottom, and blow into one hole to push the yolk out the other), but we prefer that the overall shape of the chicken egg remains intact.
