Whats your funniest memory in the game ?Follow

1. Get dalmatica
2. Be a **** to people, say lots of smack.
3. Use script kiddie cheats most people get away with using discreetly.
4. Get banned 'cause all the people you were a **** to followed you and gmcalled.

Usually bad things don't happen to people who do nasty stuff, and bad reputations mean little, so it was funny that something actually happened. ":3

My video gets funnier by the day because of people in that LS posting on the video making accusations, and because of ridicule in whitegate from total strangers who don't do any endgame towards them.

Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll get another 3 hour Tiamat with 60+ deaths so I can get that one too.

Not really my funniest moment ever, but it was lol worthy for me, got a .2 evasion skill up off a CFH'd Dark Ixion that got pulled to the tags NPC right after a battle.

Favorite lol game moments...

-- Just about every time I hit CS+esc or CS+warp without meaning too- For some reason I used to have them on the same macro line as my general use spells. Don't ask. I thought it was a good idea at the time apparently.

-- Friends and I were doing PM 6-4 (yea..Airship) for the upteenth time back during the inflation days and the special item thing was at least 200k a pop iirc so losing those fights hurt.

Fight was going pretty well, got down to Ultima and things go completely fubar on us. We all wipe with about a minute left on the clock and Ultima is down to ~1%. I still had my two hour so I got up and CS+Bio II'd him. He comes over to hit me, falls down just as we run out of time and get the usual "times up, you fail" message- only to go into the CS.

We still laugh about that one.

-- Another time, friend and I were duoing in the tree to level our NPCs on robber crabs. It was late and we'd been at it for awhile- my friend goes to pull the next crab. He's a PLD so he starts tanking it. I'm wondering why all of a sudden he's taking way more damage than he had been...then I actually pay attention to the name.

>> "Um..." Aquarius?
<< ...
CS+ Esc.

The very next night, we're back crab killing again and Lod goes to pull another crab.

Lodiont's range attack misses Aquarius.

>> AQ again?
<< oh wtf...

-- Lod and I were helping a ls friend with her LB1 items. We decided to go thru B. Glacier>>Eld. entrance since she needed the vazhell crystal anyway. One vaz-tele late we're running for the glacier. As we go by the shadow dragon spawn area, Lod- who's never seen a large mob he doesn't want to kill- stops to voke the dragon as we run by...only it wasn't the PH.

Lodiont provokes Biast.

lvl 50 friend>> {Impossible to guage}
Lod<< ...

I was a little ahead of them at the time, so I just put sneak on and ran back to watch. After Biast had his morning PLD and wandered away, I raised them and we got our friend her LB1 item without any more NM incidents.

Since then we've gotten our revenge on that godsbedamned crab and the dragon, but Lod still likes to provoke random mobs without looking at their names.

/shrug Makes life interesting.

Late one night my best friend in game passed out on me in the middle of Jueno with his dude on auto run just going in circles. So after sending him a few /tell staring at him and insulting his man hood I try to stand in front of him and stop him.
He just stalls and keeps on going...
I try again, same results.
I than notice each time I stand in his away the path he runs changes from a circular path to one more of an oval thus moving him foward.
A spark of insanity hits me...
Two hours pass.
I still have no clue as to how but I was unable to force him from mid way in Lower Jeuno, pass the Ah, the archway, and the intersection into his own Mog house. Having lost my fun toy I go to the Ah to look at junk and think of what its going to take to take over the world when I see in my linkshell chat my best friend going. Woah, how did I get into my mog house. XD
Two hours well spent.

We party for a while, talking alot, all that. The random player never speaks. never does anything but engage, and do his job. Even when asked questions, nothing.

So I get a level, big bad 14 Thief. before the level up music goes away:

Player 6 uses muteppo
player 6 uses muteppo
player 6 uses muteppo

And then he went back to playing like a robot. The 5 of us died laughing. The guy must have had a muteppo macro just for level ups.

Also, another friend made a mule, Trojanman, leveled it to 7 Whm for protect, then ran around Sandoria casting protect and /saying Trojan MAAAAN!

Fixed.

Sick burn bro. You totally got me. You so earned like 6 points of alla street cred for showing everyone you knew what level protect was (or wiki'd it) and now your name will forever be known.

Walk proud, raise your head and check out all your admirers.

Yeah this was a pretty good one, nice work hahahaha.

Did you tell him how you got him there or did you just keep it a secret and laugh to yourself about it? Loool

Either way that was a pro move.

I was in a four man party in Bibiki Bay in the early to mid 30s on my SMN. All LS mates. One of our very own admins here was excited to try out Mug, and continued to play just so he could use it, even though it was way past his allotted sleepy time.

Said THF dings 35, and is super excited. We take a moment to rest up, and decide "One last goblin and then we will call it a night." Our puller gets another goblin, we all engage. Well, except the THF. We whittle it down to about 10% HP and turn our backs to it. We send out every <call> we can find, and still no luck. After around five minutes, we just engage and kill the goblin. We decide to get a small buffer and call it a night. One of the members changes to his BLM and D2s the sleeping THF.

The next day, we saw a confused post on our LS forums:
Ok, so I was in Bibiki Bay with Mamby, Ehrrren and Kear last night... I was tired, but I really wanted to *mug* a goblin with my new lvl 35 thief... it was about 1:30 a.m....

Next thing I knew, it was 2:45 a.m. and I was standing back at my home point.

Did I die?

Smiley: eek

It was titled Did I die?

A few years back, before ToAU was released and the basement level of Gustav Tunnel was a good place for those in the mid 50's to go level, Exodus and I were in an experience party heading down to go fight the Robber Crabs. On the way down, I noticed a large dark shadow to my left, and I turned to see the wyvern NM Bune standing there unclaimed. Not knowing how strong Bune was considering I didn't even know about him until that moment, I asked the party if anyone knew what level Bune was, and our Ranger responded by saying he was level 40.

Now, I was a lv. 56 Dragoon at the time, and Exodus was around the same level on his Paladin, so we figured the two of us could easily take on a lv. 40 NM. I run in first, Jump and then High Jump Bune, only for both to miss. Bune attacks back for a 300+ hit, after which I Super Jumped away. Exodus runs up right behind me and flashes it, then once it starts hitting him for 300+ he uses Invincible while the two of us continue to swing at him uselessly. Exo's Invincible wears off, Bune tears him a new one, then turns to me and downs me soon after.

The Rng, who was already down at the camp, suddenly asked, "What happened?" to which I responded by shouting to him, "Level 40 my ***! There's no way that Bune is level 40!" After a long pause, the Rng pipes up, "Oh! I thought you meant the player Bune."

It turned out that, at the same time this was going on, there was a lv. 40 player named Bune in an exp party up towards the Hell Bats and Goblins near Gustav's entrance, and that when we asked about Bune, our Rng was meaning him.

My story has to do with Sozu Rogberry.

Around Christmas 2005, I camped him for about a month straight (this was back in the day when he had a PH and there was no pop item for him). After about two weeks of camping, I befriended a guy by the name of Beau who was also camping.

For the next few weeks, Beau and I camped constantly, with the pact that we would help each other get the THF knife. There was constant RMT camping too, so we had to deal with that.

After about a month and a half straight, I got tired of camping so I took a break. Beau remained during that time. At one point, the RMT started attempts to MPK him. When Beau would get the claim, they would simply stand right behind him. Now, this doesnt sound like an MPK, but tonberries have a move called throat stab, which takes you to 5% health instantly. You CAN avoid it, but the only way to do so is to move backwards. Well, if you have someone standing behind you, it takes an extra second to pass through their character, and if that happens, Sozu will have enough time to get throat stab off. So there were times when the RMT managed to kill Beau and finish off Sozu.

A few months later, I was solo camping Sozu again (Beau was shipped overseas with the millitary). Those same RMT were there who constantly MPKed Beau. Sozu popped, and the two RMT got the claim. I was disheartened and started to leave, as how could a BLM AND a NIN wipe to a lvl 67 NM? For some reason, though, I stayed. The RMTs got Sozu to a sliver of health. Through no interaction of my own (the NIN was arrogant and didnt run back for a throat stab), the NIN took a throat stab and then went down. Sozu then turned to the BLM, but by this time, I had Sozu targeted and ready to attack if his name went yellow. As Sozu started to run to the BLM, Sozu went yellow and I drew my dagger....

Manifest hits The Sozu Rogberry for 39 damage.
Manifest defeats the Sozu Rogberry.

I tapped Sozu once and he died. In fact, I was THF/NIN and my character never swung the DW second dagger because Sozu had died with the first swing. The BLM was pissed, but ***** him, as him and his little RMT friend had at least a month experience of constant, dirty MPK attempts against Beau (and me on a few occasions). I didnt get the drop, but somehow, the experience was worth much more than the knife to me.

God Bless you Beau, I hope you are safe wherever you are.

To me, this was the funniest memory I had in game, but to others reading it may just be blah. I was on the Ferry fishing with my WHM friend Smokey, me being a level 55 MNK and him being in his 60s. You guessed it, the Sea Horror ended up popping on our ship. This was back in the day when the ferry was flooded with new adventurers travelling back and forth to the Dunes, so we had a good 20-30 people on this boat with us. Staying up top where the stairs were to fish, I see my friend Smokey engage with his Staff and start hitting the damn thing. Amazed, I reply "Dude, wtf are you doing? That thing is going to own you!" He assures me everything will be fine, "I've got Reraise II." Seeing the oppertunity for some excitement, I join in with him and the 2 of us bash away at the Sea Horror while it's eating the life out of us. He calls for help for some lulz, and the ENTIRE ship helped us to fight this thing with the help of 2 75s who had been fishing. It was completely awesome and hilarious, a bunch of Dunes party people wailing away at the Sea Horror while us laughing our heads off. When it was finally killed, all of us felt so proud of ourselves for overcoming Vana'diel's most hated NM.

Eh, my apologies for reviving this thread but another really LOL moment came to mind:

My uncle was in Yhoator pt'n on THF, and was trying to pull a mob. Now, he's no noob (75 WAR WHM RDM BST), but he was wondering why there was a particularly evasive mandie that he couldn't pull.

Then he checks the name. Turns out it wasn't a mandie, but a taru pld in ALL AF except for head--and the head was a sprout beret.

I never let him live that one down, even when I mention lvl'n pld and praying he doesn't pull me.
