This is more like "I pulled a massive stupid" rather than a funny memory. Happened a couple days ago.
I was on DRK pt'n with a few LS mates of mine, and he said (being himself a 75 DRK) 'go ahead and souleater guillotine if you're feeling brave'. I see the mob is down to a sliver so I hit souleater AND last resort, then between that and hitting guillotine, the mob dies and I auto-target the next mob the THF pulled.
681 dmg to mob....and I'm frantically pressing keys on my PC to deactivate souleater and LR....died in about 10 seconds, if that.
The SMN and NIN in the pt (the NIN being my uncle) laugh their asses off for the next five minutes, telling me "Welcome to being a DRK."

My funniest memory had to be when I first got the game. I was 14 years old at the time and this was when it was just released in NA. I had never heard of an MMO or even knew it was possible to play with other people on a game like this. Of course I found it odd that there was a rather hefty monthly fee, but I figured this had to be one awesome game...
So I arrive in Bastok and run over to the NPC next to the Bastok Mines Mog House where I proceeded to talk to it. I then struck up a conversation with this unusually intelligent Computer. Somehow he was able to answer perfectly whatever I said to him! So of course I just thought this was some crazy hi-tech game and decided to invite him to my party. I ran into my Mog House and kept urging the "NPC" to come join me in my mog house, but he just kept complaining that it wasn't possible and eventually left the party.
After my brief disappointment I ran out and to the Auction House where I proceeded to say obscenities and really random/crazy things to all the incredibly smart NPCs until I finally realized that these were all real people...
I still can't believe it took me so long to realize and how stupid I must have seemed.

Way way way back when Sky was end game. Seiryu used his 2hr and we shadowbound it. THF buddy runs up to him and pops perfect dodge and says "LOOK I CAN TANK ^_^ LOL!" Seeing that Seiryu was attacking my friend I decided to run up those as myself (Taru BLM) Before doing so I say in LS "Lol me too!" *Altwight was defeated by Seiryu.*
It's between that and when I first entered Ragnarok. Friend greeted me with 6k and told me to go buy some Meat Mithkabobs from the auction house (they were 1.2k back then iirc) So I go to the AH check the Price history and think to myself "hmm 1.2k current bid, I'll bid 6k" "You buy the meat mithkabobs for 6,000gil." 10minutes later friend tells me to go buy some cetsi after realizing I have my sh*tty starters equipped and I say "I got no more money, I bought those kabobs >_>"

For me, a funny moment I can remember offhand is, I was in kazham and wanted to deathwarp so i switched to my level 3~ whitemage. I zoned out, afk'd for 5~ minutes and came back and there was a goblin slaughtering a party. It was nearly done with all of them and the survivors were zoning. As the last one zones I cast dia on it and instead of running over to me and attacking me it readied bomb toss. I wait for my incoming death.. but it never comes. I see the level up animation flash across my character and I'm thinking "wtf?". Apparently the goblin had dropped his bomb and killed himself, but since I was out of range I never took any damage.
Talk about D3 failure.

Just goes to show that UAE server hopping bot trash can't buy skill with their oil money at least.

I can never forget one of my greatest FFXI memories. It was NA launch day, and all us newbs were running around trying to figure out how to even play the game. I started in San d'Oria so some of us made it out to West Ronfaure and start slaughtering bunnies. I somehow got invited into an alliance of 18 lvl 3's or so. We marched our way down to near the outpost and decide to take on a Giant Sheep. It was the most beautiful death I've ever had. Watching us go down one by one was priceless. Needless to say Ronfaure was lost to the beastmen that week lol.
Four years ago, Bibiki Bay: I was playing blm in a the party that was doing goblins and after some back up healing I tried to get back to our opponent to stun it...and accidently stunned a dhalmel that happened to have spawned less than a second ago.
I immediately knew I screwed up big time so I said: "let me die, let me die" but no, the whm cured me anyway, getting hate from the dhalmel. Now this is where the slapstick began: the whm started to run away from the dhalmel, so exit dhalmel...and whm. The party with me on main heal was able to kill the goblin, but that whm was still out there, somewhere..but where?
And all of a sudden there he was, passing us with like 3 dhalmels on his tail, cursing and calling me names in /say. One minute later he passes us again coming from the same direction, but now with a whole bunch of longnecks after him. Still cursing of course. In the meantime I was told by others to log out for a minute to reset hate.
When I came back the guy had used his Benediction already and was still running around in circles, this time with like at least ten dhalmels who wanted to stomp him to death and yes, every time he saw my tarutaru face he had to call me a name and tell me how big of a noob I was. They caught him eventually though.
Now although I don't think it's funny when someone is losing tons of exp. (after all, after a raise II he must have lost TONS at lvl 63/64, enough to hate me and my bloodrelatives for the rest of his life *cough*) because of my ***** up, but the combination of seeing him running around in circles with all these dhalmels while yelling stuff at me made me laugh out loud in real life. It looked like a cartoon, but at the same tie I actually missed Oliver Hardy's "That's a fine mess you have gotten us into this time, Stanley!".

I did something similar when I was pretty new, I was the only one to die luckily. Soloing in palborough mines at arounsd level 13, I pulled a gobbie from across the river with ranged attack, only for it to hop off and dissapear . Oh well, not to worry, I went back to slapping quadavs, when, all of a sudden, a stampede of some 20 or so rabbits come round the corner and kick the living crap out of me .
Rabbits are fun - every time I go to that zone I make a point of getting my revenge on the bunnies .

My Drk friend gets there last, we had been killing Antlions trying to learn Mandibular Bite. When we See a Bomb spawn, it only rates T. With 3 people and a 4th on the way, we could easily take that..
SO we Buff and get ready to fight it, i do a Map look to see where my Drk friend is, he's about half a block away from us, so i say lets start on it..
We start hitting it, i guess it gained Tp really fast because before we knew it it started Readying Self Destruct. Me and my Blu friend are like cool, maybe we can learn it..
So my Drk friend comes into range, Pulls out his Scythe, and the Bomb Pops, But appt he was Carring a Case of Dynomite because it hit us EACH for about 800 HP (we all had UNDER 800 HP as a max) My Drk friend Delevels before he even got a hit in and we all died.
It sucked, but we all laughed like crazy, because what are the chances. (both our Head Butts Missed also ><) Our whm friend came and raised us, so all was good, but my drk friend who didn't really want to play in the first place, Really had no ambition to play after that.

The funniest moment I can remember right off is when my LS was doing CoP 6-4. That's right, the big bad Airship fight. It was our second attempt, and things were going a lot smoother than our first run. We had Ultima down to about 50% or so and things were under control for the most part.
Then our NIN DC'd.
And just like that the whole thing fell into chaos. Our SAM and RNG were doing their best to keep hate, but Ultima was bouncing around all over the place. We had managed to get it to about 20% HP, and I saw my chance. I was on RDM, so my plan was to pop my Vile Elixir+1, activate Chainspell, and then nuke it to hell and back. I had Convert ready too if it came to it.
So, I used the Elixir, opened the Ability menu . . . . only to have Ultima stroll over and drop me in one hit like it was part of his daily routine. Fortunately at this time our long lost NIN came back, so I reraised and tossed him an invite. Ultima was at less than 5%. The NIN engaged and used his 2-hour, finishing it off.
The kicker? Immediately afterwards he DC'd again. Now that's a ninja kill...

One that stands out for me was one of the times my linkshell was camping Charybdis. We were standing around waiting for it to pop while one of the rangers in the group was moaning and complaining about rangers not being able to equip Joyeuse. I told him, 'You're right, that is a bit fishy'. He thought the pun was so funny he stopped complaining for 2-3 minutes.

It's pretty dumb, but I find it humorous now.
On my first day I go outside and start killing mobs, but then I notice my hp is relatively low. So I head back to town and hit up the shops in Bastok hoping to find some potions.
I found them, but they were way too expensive for a hume with a mere pittance of 50gil.
So I start flipping through my inventory thinking there has to be another way to recover hp, lo and behold I find a honey that dropped off one of the bees and promptly ate it.
Then I stared at the screen for about 10 minutes wondering why it didn't work.
I finally gave up, grabbed the manual and promptly facepalmed when I found out it was a simple key click.

One of my first dunes parties. Probably like the third.
So its me, my girlfriend (also new), my friend, his brother, his girlfriend (also new) and 1 random player.
We party for a while, talking alot, all that. The random player never speaks. never does anything but engage, and do his job. Even when asked questions, nothing.
So I get a level, big bad 14 Thief. before the level up music goes away:
Player 6 uses muteppo
player 6 uses muteppo
player 6 uses muteppo
And then he went back to playing like a robot. The 5 of us died laughing. The guy must have had a muteppo macro just for level ups.

Also, another friend made a mule, Trojanman, leveled it to 5 Whm for protect, then ran around Sandoria casting protect and /saying Trojan MAAAAN!

I think my funniest moment was about 2ish years ago, me and my LS were fighting Suzaku, we had 2 NIN tanks, BOTH the tanks go down, me being a THF was probably last on Suzaku's list as far as hate goes, after the 2 tanks go down, Suzaku proceeds to obliterate the rest of the alliance (Aside from I believe a BLM and a WHM..I think, it was a long time ago), so, with most of the Alliance down I "tank" Suzaku for about 10 minutes until the mages get everyone back up.
This may not be funny to most people, but to me it was funny because I sit there for 10~ minutes and tank Suzaku because our "real" tanks went down.

We'd pick up a healer and go. The party was lvl 33ish. One night in the Citadel, the front camps on the stairs were taken, as always, so we take a camp further in past some of the skellies. Things were going pretty well. Then Maleck pulls a beetle...
I Berzerk > Sneak Attack > Sturmwind = Chamber Beetle takes 13 damage.
Siredge: um, theres no way we can fight this...
Mal vokes and tries to run, and ends up MPKing the entire zone as was popular back then.
How he pulled a Chamber Beetle to the upper level we still have no idea.
