I remember seeing the original that you posted. It's pretty spiffy.
I urge anyone having problems to use the Stage 6 link, because the Youtube version won't buffer properly on my machine. Not a problem with Stage 6.

Wow, that's pretty sick XD I never thought of doing a LS video like that before. I guess when you do multimeida all day at work, you just don't want to do it when you come home. I'll definitely have to invest some time into it after seeing that, though. Very original!

I was wondering, are some of the animations costum or some already in the game? Guessing you're using Altana View or ModelViewer to get the models, but some of the animations are some I've never seen, like the mithra spinning the star club and then placing it on her shoulder like Naja

All the animations I used are in Altanaview. In "others" in the Action drop down menu, it lists a lot of the NPC only animations.

I have to disagree. The whole point of the video, was to mimic an anime style intro. He made it the way he did because that's what he wanted to. It's a FFXI and anime style video, which was the intent. Of course he had to use things not CREATED by him, or it wouldn't have been the same. The creativity part was him making the video itself, it doesn't have to be entirely original, doing that would have lost it's point.
I'm not saying "CHANGE YOUR OPINION NOW", but saying he lacks creativity is wrong, it's exactly the opposite. Just because he didn't use things not created by him doesn't mean it wasn't creative. Putting it together was enough.

People really don't understand the work and time needed to make a well edited and fluid video. The video posted by Gangstarr is really well done and very creative. It's basically if FFXI was an anime and it starred Suicide Kings LS, this is what the opening credits might of look liked based on his vision.
You condemning the fact that he borrowed and utilized ideas/concepts from others, yeah well, might as well be condemning everybody that's ever made anything, from your basement amateurs to in the limelight professionals.

I hear you loud and clear. And perhaps saying that the whole thing lacked creativity was a bit harsh since I do recognize the talent that goes into compiling a video like that. I also understand that the whole concept behind the video was to piece elements of different works into a new one and assume all of the imitation inherent in such a project.
The video was indeed creative, but creative in the same way that remixing a pop song into a techno club song is. I just love to see others' redrawn impressions on the FFXI characters, perhaps put together with some original stylistic shifts from the stereotypical anime style. While such things would have made he experience better for me, the author did deliver what was promised with some success.
