FFXI on Vista?

I'm just curious, I've been playing with Vista for the past month or so, and running FFXI on it during that time as well. I have been able to play it just fine for the most part. The last POL viewer update gave me some issues, namely the POL-1155 error that SE just lists as an unknown error (thanks alot) and the fact that Vista doesn't have perfected 3-d drivers quite yet, so the game is a bit choppier than under XP. On the plus side, it is alot more stable. Anyone else have any experience with FFXI and Vista, and want to share their stories, please share them here. Thanks :)

I have left my XP Pro PC on and running FFXI for weeks at a time and never ever had a single problem ever.

How exactly do you get "more stable" than that?

Well, in my case, I was having alot of issues with POL viewer crashing on me, sometimes after an hour, sometimes after 5 minutes. I had everything up to date, and could not figure out why it kept on crashing. Since working with Vista, I can run for hours and hours. So for me, its more stable.

I am running FFXI on Vista but I seem to have a unique problem. I can login just fine but no other Character Models load. I can see myself and the nice scenery but there is no one else around. Makes all the cities feel empty. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please let me know.
