I just today decided i'd give this event a whirl seeming i was bored, anyway my first fight was vs the Tarutaru armor ( forgot the name) and he was hitting me for 1 damage or so which i thought was normal.. then i see the mithra armor.. and she runs up and does 54 damage in one hit... is this normal ? or is the taru just really weak..

no, Usukane has 1 hit kill, they suck...However I focused on killing galkan armor, and after 12 kills recieved Kingdom Stables Collar :) Rare Ex... + numerous colored drops....GL and have fun p.s. it took me like 4 hours to get... other ppl will kill those things too... and you get nothing... additionaly, ALOT of ppl are doing this in pt format, which is NOT very lucrative... it wasnt for me anyways... I pt,d for 1.5 hours, then solod for 2.5 hours...I got NO Drops while in pt, and got about 5 colored drops and collar solo :) just my 2 gils worth.....

If you have a few friends, partying is actually effective. 3 or 4 people can take an armor out easily, so the only problem is the mithra. Me and some other did this tonight- we fought many a Hachiryu armor over a 5 hour period, and got 3 collar's. I was lucky enough to get one.

Anyway, about the mithra; She is a *****. I'm sorry, but she is. She killed my party at LEAST 30 times during our try. If you have a job high enough, I recommend using blink and stoneskin before getting the cap; that way, if she attacks you out of your party members, you can run off, and hopefully give your friends a chance to kill the other armor while the mithra is after you.

And the collar; It's a level 15 item, with an enchantment that teleport's you to San d'Oria's stables. It has 10 uses. Bastok has a Medal, and windurst I THINK has a scarf; all with the same effect, but for that nations stables. Pretty useful, IF you can bring yourself to use a charge.

I'm bad like that :)

I honestly can't remember how we got our Stable Scarves last year, but I do remember that it was a hell of a lot easier to obtain them. They weren't from this event. I had all three. Hell, everybody did.

I went as RDM and did stoneskin / phalanx / protect / regen and ran to vomp to fight the mithra. She killed me when i had her at about half life.

Going as MNK/RNG for hundred fists didn't work as well as I'd thought. Maybe an alliance heh.

Usukane aren't Tsukikazu. I can't help but wonder if you're supposed to know that, considering you wrote a "guide" on this event.

For the record, Tsukikazu are exactly the same as Ubuginu, Tatenashi and Hachiryu, so why you've singled out one Armor when your guide covers all four of them confuses me.

In any case, yes, it seems Usukane is simply put into this event to make it tougher. On Phoenix what must have been at least eighty players threw themselves at this thing in South Gustaberg, and much slaughter ensued:

    The last 10% of Usukane's HP. (150k)

Note the repeated deaths of some people - They simply had their Home Point set to Bastok Markets and rejoined the fray ASAP.

In the end? She dropped 4 Gold Carp to the player that got the last hit in. Which are next to worthless and certainly not worth 25 minutes of 80+ people's time.

So basically, they're meant to be avoided. Nothing else.
