At first I wanted to be a pld got war to 20 thf to 20 then war to 30 or so unlocked pld now it R.I.P. At 15. I’ve tried whm and blm whm 14 got my first pt as whm killed on first pulled R.I.P. whm blm was just a pia (solo at the low lvls) so its stuck at 11.

Atm I’m torn between 3 jobs to lvl war 59 thf 48 nin 37, not going to lvl nin till I get all the ni spells (but working on it)

Each week or so varies with me as well and I get bored of war then go thf then I get in to many pt's with and war's/ or /war’s and theirs no back up tank (idk why they don’t back up when tank is dead or to low on hp) and I get pissed of then go back to war. Out of thf and war I love war. I like to know if we get an add I got it, tank gets low I got it. pt needs SATA set up well I got it. Need a puller well yeah I got that too.

But on the flip side i get tired of war. Dieing to many times in 1 pt for what ever reason my low def 240 I think atm combined with duel Vikings and Haubergeon -40 eve so I cant take to many hit’s. Pt’s that want the big 200 xp per kill. Whm who insist that only they tank needs cure's. So I go back to thf. pulling yeah it’s a giving I got it. Blaming others for my damage love it!! Nine times out of ten being the last one standing in a pt of a full {death}ga love it.

I like nin but idk how it is post 37 from the player side but just watching some of them in action makes me drool.

Long winded sorry, you are not the only one who " Does not know what they like". As another poster said, Go with what you like you want to lvl them all at the same time go for it. It's your 13 a month do what you want. Have fun!!

Just a side note by lvling more then one job or one typ DD vs tank vs mages, you will get to understand the jobs better. ^^ I cant stand to lvl a mage job atm, so I am ingnorant of what each mage combo can and can't do. Like wise a ls meber is mage only and doesnt understand DD jobs all that well, he does his job well though ^^.

Bottom line have fun enjoy.

I started as a WHM because I like being one of the keys to success in a party by keeping people alive. But I soon found that the spells just weren't enough for me and the BLM sub was kind of pointless except for the extra MP. WHM casting BLM spells = {No Thanks}

So I switched to BRD. It gave me everything I need. I can support the healer with my cures, I can debuff the mob, and I can make my party more efficient.

BRD FTW!

We're getting lots of newer players around here these days, and several of them talk about what race/job they want to be, what would make a good starting job for the advanced job they're aiming for, etc. I'm wondering how many people started out with a clear idea of what they wanted their character to be. Did you stick with it?

I decided that I wanted to be a Monk before I started playing the game.
I stuck with it.
Now I'm rank 30, RoZ and CoP completed, and Monk is my only level 75 job; nothing else I have is over 37.
I love playing a Monk, everything else is just a subjob.

    I started day one as a blm, everytime I do anything in game it's in furtherance of my blm. I will always be a blm. I doubt I'll get another job past 37. Blm is my love, my joy, my passion, my everything.

    BLM FOR LIFE.

    Kinikki joined Vana'Diel as a level 1 RDM. Kinikki is currently a 61 RDM ^^; So I stuck with it pretty much, though I have leveled all jobs (apart from PLD >_>). But I'm currently unsure if I'm going to carry on with RDM.. I might get it to 65 atleast, though I'm not sure. I've been levelling BRD recently and I like it... So I think RDM might be put on the shelf for a while. o_o;

    Started as BLM, and as you can see from my signature, still working on getting it to 75. ^^;

    Also have BST at 40 which I love. Thinking about taking up SMN. Just need Dark Spirit, Water Spirit, Lightning Spirit, and Diabolos to round out my stuff.

    Rheywolf - BLM is a glass cannon. Sure, they can MB Freeze on a slime for 6,000 damage. But it takes the average beastman 3.5 seconds to disembowel a BLM and unceremoniously defile the remains.

    Morgrist - BLM: Elemental - mostly mental.

    Not at first, I kept switching but decided I wouldn't get anywhere. Then I switched back to rdm since I liked it a lot. Now I'm sticking with it, wether I like it or not.

    Short answer, I wanted to be SMN, and I became one.

    Longer answer, I wanted to play MNK/SMN, since the combo was excellent and fun in FF5, which I scrapped rather fast.

    WAR was my first job, and it will be my last. I intended to go PLD, but I changed my mind. So I stuck with it even though I didn't mean to. Heh.
