If there is a game i would leave for it would most likely be this one, Dark and Light

The idea is definatly interesting. The way you battle in the game seams a little weird, but also pretty unique and at the very least... differant. As a fan of the movies (Flame all you want but I enjoyed all 3 :p) It would be neat to see how they follow it up story wise.

Yeah, and because everyone is obsessed with FF7, 1/4 of the Matrix characters will still be named Cloud or Sephiroth... and the game looks like it will suck as the sequels did.

Beta has been out for a while now, I believe. I know IGN have been running a promotion regarding spots on the closed beta recently.
Frankly, the Matrix sequels killed any interest I had in the franchise. Any movie that can make the Star Wars prequels look good in comparison is a waste of film reel.

I was very excited when they first announced it months ago. But with the lates email I got (to sign up for Beta), I have to say I wasn't impressed. The video they have at the site, was imho terrible.

when i played FFXI beta it semi-sucked (i did only get up to lvl 11 as an elvaan war tho >.>). Alsoooo... just because you feel it sucked, does not mean everyone else will think it sucks. Heck, i still like D2.. not county a few 'noobs'.

I got in closed beta haven't touched it since I first tried it. It hurt to badly. Response in the WoW stress test was way better. That and there are gonna be way to many variations of Neo and get used to seeing "Whoa", and "I can do Kung Fu" every couple of seconds.

Okay What about the Matrix sequels sucked. I want a valid reason other than it just did. 'm not going to force my views on others i just hate it when somebody can't give a good reason why they hate something.

The dialog was abysmal, the plot was highly predictable in the few places where it wasn't just plain ridiculous, the acting was more wooden than Pinocchio and both movies just came off as being swept up in their own self-indulgent, confusing crap.
There is a saying that given enough time, a room full of monkeys with typewriters would write the entire works of Shakespeare. In this case, it would take them mere moments to write the equivalent of the scripts for both Matrix sequels. All they'd have to do is smear the paper with feaces.

Not sure about the Matrix thing but EQII is definately worth a look. Although what I want is a faster RPG, like Diablo 2, where I can quickly get my game on.

They dont suck. The reason people "hate" them is simple. Its cool to hate popular things. Just look at the game Halo.
People are more inclined to say "halo sucks" then admit they like it, becouse its the cool thing to do... but it didnt stop legions of these very same people from pre-ordering Halo2 did it. :/
The simple fact of the matter is, at the very least, The Matrix sequels were great action movies. Unfortunalty these are more then just action movies.. that's more to their downfall I find. They tell a great Sci-Fi story. Sadly ive yet to have a conversation with a Matrix hater who actually understood the end of the 2nd movie.. or even knew that yes, Neo is still alive at the end of the 3rd.
Im sure there are people who legitimatly dislike the movies.. and that fine. Im sorry you got swept up in the latest fad, otherwise until you can give me legitimate reasons to dislike the movies ive got nothing to say about it to anybody.
Oh.. and Keanu Reeves acting isnt a valid excuse to dislike the movie's. He was the lead in the first movie too.. and most people still praise the original in spite of Reeves. Until you can explain the end of the 2nd movie, and tell me, specifically why Neo isnt dead then your didnt pay enough attention to be arguing about it anyway.
Anyway.. im not here to argue about that. Im here to argue about FFXI damnit!

I signed up to be a beta tester, cause if they want to let me play for free (I think) cool, I'm in. But I'm not preordering this game just to get in early.. and I don't think I'll be buying the game even when it comes out.
And Beta testing already began.. they are on version 6 of beta now FYI (I just got the email yesterday actually).

Actually, he is dead. I, like some people, did enjoy the 2 sequels. I own them all, and I even own the Animatrix. But, if you were on the mailing list for the Matrix Online (which I signed up for long before FFXI was released for PS2), you would know that the story of Matrix Online begins with "Neo is dead." It's also filled with things like "preserve the peace Neo died for". Had I not recieved those emails, I'd be right there with you.
