1) You type ^^ in IM to people who don't know that it's a JP smiley

2) You call people from Japan JP's

3) You have actually had your *** go numb

4) You've woken at 10:00 am with controller in hand in Kazham with no party

5) Instead of logging right off you check the log to find out what happened and see "name pokes Rayme, name pokes Rayme, name slaps Rayme...I think he fell asleep dude...well lets find another member"

6) Instead of logging off then you ride the airship back to Jeuno to check your delivery box

7) After logging off you log on as your mule and check his delivery box and the plants

8) You play on your lunch break

9) You're significant other hates all FF

10) Because you don't have a printer at home, you print off recipes and quest instructions from work

11) Deny having a problem

12) Can think of more than one reason why you play too much

13) If you have a friend at work who plays you /wave to them

14) You can kill yags and craft threads and cloths for 7 hours straight and go to bed feeling like you accomplished something

15) Can't convince yourself to give your friend your 3rd Mist Silk Cape because you need the money for crafting

16) You leave your character logged in all nite selling stuff out of your bazaar

17) You have a mule

18) You work tech support and recognize when someone is playin FFXI from the music

19) You ask them what server they are on

20) You call in sick so that you can do a mission with your LS

21) ...Ok thats enough...

You try to cast silence on your boss.

All information you type in for your Amazon order are character name, job/subjob, level and server.

You go to the knifes store and ask what damage and delay the Chicken Knife has.

You scream out loud at the auction that you'll pay 1 million gil for the leaping boots.

You ask for the rate of exchange of dollar on gil at the bank.

You kill crawlers...

You begin to cultivate vegetables in flower pots.

You desperately wait for the small multicolored symbols at the edge of screen in the weather forecast.

You constantly try to heal any people.

You begin to scan your dwelling for Moogles.

You ask the costermonger after Screaming Fungus.

You cannot seize yet that the shell you bought for all your money only gave you one pearl and in addition couldn't call anyone.

You sit in front of your computer and write "You know you've been playing too much FFXI when..." posts.

SquareEnix offers you a fixed employment as NPC in Windurst.

You go to work to escape the stress of your real life in Vana'diel.

You indicate that your dream woman descends from Mithra and has bright fur.

You murmur the source code of the game when you're sleeping.

When you told your friend

We went to emergency room last night and camped the doctor for 5 hours till he spwan...

When your muscles in your forearms ache so bad you quailfy for workers comp...and the doc tells you too find a job with less typing, or risk permanent damage.

when not playing the game, you browse message boards looking for tips, team members, and someone to help you with the avatar quests now that you have them all activated.

when someone says IRL anyting about a "Nest" "Dune" "Crab" or "Mushroom" you instictivly reach for your trusty sword to go kill the beasts around you.
*raises hand* was watching people play Soldier of Fortune when they said "Take out that nest!", my hand actually made the reflex of the CTRLA + A command to attack a mob...

You know you've been playing too much FFXI when you start spouting Taru Speak while engaged in intimate activities with your significant other.

(Gods, I'm glad I caught myself...)
(8+ hours on an all Taru LS will do that to you)

When you buy a couch for your study...... =( I am so ashamed..
