Yeah, these threads have been around before. Haven't seen one in a while, and rather than drudge up an old one, thought I'd start one fresh.

1) You work for yourself, and send an email to a client with your in-game name instead of your real name ><

2) You dream about being in FFXI. Every night.

3) You start referring to your real-life friends by their in-game names instead of their real ones.

4) You start your day by reading this site, then checking the vault for new Bobby comics, then reading the vault forums, then...

5) It is very unusual for you to spend more than one night a week not playing FFXI.

OK, that's just my small list. Anyone else have some others?

I'd press esc to cancelled the stuff i'm typing on IM. Of course, in MSN, this will close the chat window instead of just clearing the line you were typing -_-

Getting better at catching myself before I press esc now though!

1) You have paid for premium service on this board just because you know your going to be posting for a long, long time.

2) When your computer chair has a permanent butt-impression from long hours of sitting.

3) You hear the word "pineapple" and automatically think of your MP regen.

4) Your keyboard (mine was brand new) needs to be replaced soon from constant macro-smashing (I'm a PLD and my keyboard does not love me right now)

5) You've posted to these threads before WAY too many times.

6) You start to talk about stuff in FFXI with 1 friend while the others are just sitting around you not knowing anything you're saying. "Taru what?" "Yagudo?" "What the hell are you, satanists?"

7) You check your play time. Enough said. (I'm up to 15 days)

8) You go to a barbacue and ask if they're having fish or meat mithlabobs.

LOL, done the escape thing SOOOO many times now. Once, I did it when hosting a warcraft battle.net game, before the game started. It cancelled the game i was hosting and kicked everyone out. I always expect to just keep pressing escape and get back to "normal" mode.

I just bought myself a new chair.

My favorite, and one I'm definitely guilty of, is shielding your eyes to the rising sun of Valkrum Dunes.

This site is worth every penny dammit!!! I need my FFXI info during the day so I can play all night.

I need to buy a new chair, mine makes a weird noise when I lean back in it...

"Hey "Naguria", I mean honey, can you do me a favor?"

Pressing Num-pad "+" key to view previous commands in other programs.

When your boss recognizes the blue background on this site!

When you plan your weekend such as: Get to lvl#... in <job>, farm for "XXXXX", help LS buddies, craft/fish on sunday!

You know your LS buddies stats better than they do!

28 days logged here, since november, or whenever it came out on PC. I find myself typing /t or /l in IM to my friends. The worst is if i type the whole thing, like /t Name or whatever.

My chair needs replacing as well.

I think the ultimate sign is when a friend will call me early in the morning (10am is early for me) and I'm still half asleep, they will say one thing, and then i'll respond with something completely off the subject and related to the game, that I might have been thinking about.

"So yeah, this morning there was a lot of traffic on my way to work"

I reply: "yeah, well Hunting NM's will do that to ya, I know i wasted hours doing it only to get a few silk threads to drop. Maybe we should start mining."

"HUH?!?"

1. You start to make lyrics for the bgms.

2. when watching action movies you try to guess what class the characters are.

3. You make up an anthem for your home country.

4. You fail Social Studies by playing this game, and wonder why your parents took away your power cord.

Sorry pretty stupid but these have happened to me.

/em used "/em" in a thread, and not ingame.

*raises hand* guilty there, on the "talking to FFXI friends and havin others around clueless" as well as the Esc one too.

1) The only way to remember about actual IRL food is to see someone eating food in game

2) When one PT member says, "Brb need to use the restroom" and you, and your entire team do the same.

3) You have all 10 macro sets FILLED as well as memorized, and can swap from #6 to #1 in less then 2 seconds.

4) you have almost Hero Fame in every city, from repeatable quests that take at least 5 min to do once. Bubbly Bernie, Bastore Sardines style.

5) Fishers know what % the moon is at all times of the IRL day.

6) Said fishers time thier logins for the best times.

7) Your primary subjobs are all at least lvl 15, and the only reason for this is you do not feel like holding a Boot Camp for the new players.

8) You hold 7 sacks for linkshells. all of whom you recruit members for. (one for main, one for sub job 1-4, one for fishers, one for miners)

9) You have at least 90% of all the translated words memorised and the other 10% you know how to say in japanese.

10) You begged and pleaded with Japanese players to send you thier macros, and a tranlation of what they mean. After getting these macros, you modify your own macro sets through the windows option, and cut and paste the japanese characters. (i myself have not done this, but, i know a few that have)

11) whenever u get a tell from someone you dont know, and they are asking for help right off the bat, you auto translate "I don't understand" regardless of the language being sent to you.

More to come as i think of them.

Is that lol thing some kinda disorder...lol! Woah...ur passing it on.

Well, that Vakurm Dunes thing...I can't STAND it. It's like having the sun reflect off a metallic colored car...only for a ridiculous period of time. My white mouse icon also blends in with the sand!!! Man...how annoying.

Hehehe, I memorized the phases of the moon, set my best time for fishing at full or new moon on sunday mornings ^^, schedule fishing sessions/leveling sessions/power leveling sessions/ missions/ all to co-operate into my weekly schedule of after-school play ^^ avoiding the alternating 2 hours my friend shares with her brother ^^ during those 2 hours i drop everything for her ^^

I'm guilty of the 'shielding your eyes in Valkrum' thing too. >.> Too damn bright!

Here's one that tarutaru players can appreciate:

You find yourself talking like the tarutaru NPC even when offline or postaruing on FFXI message boardy-woards like alla. ^^

Paid for premium svcs. myself since i want this site to keep running

I'm also guilty of squinting in Vulkurm and Tahronghi, even sadder I found myself thinking Ronfaure is quite lovely and was comparing it to some of the forrests in RL (same for Jugner)

haha, its amazing how quickly these threads fill up.

one thing ive started doing on occasion:

Knowing when the lag is bad enough to slow down your macro activated time, you type in the spell rather then pressing your macro quick key, knowing its faster, or because u dont want to change ur macro set to where the macro is actually already at.
