so starting pretty much brand new again, with a buddy on Luclin server cause i heard it had a decent pop. we are both free players (for the time being, as he is just starting as well and doesnt know if he will like it yet) and any info on guilds that will help us noobs understand things a bit better etc. would be great. we dont box, will probably be fairly casual for a while but have potential.

character names are Kingdeemgee, maelaelael, and strikerdemon if that makes any difference.

so far we are in early 20 level range and i know that sucks as everyone starts the heroic characters

I don't know anyone on Luclin so I can't help you there. IMO the game has its best balance from 10-65 anyway so there's no reason to skip those levels. Slowly accumulating your class defining skills really helps a new player learn what they're doing. Good luck and remember to have fun.

Luclin is a good server, though I prefer Firiona for casual gaming because most no-drop items on FV are tradeable. You and your pal should probably two-box on four separate accounts - and each level a healing class, hybrid, caster and melee; free to play merc tanks become much less effective after about L60-65. Another benefit for you both to two-box is the ability to use fellowship campfires IE porting to camps, HP, mana and haste aura plus ability to spread exp gains evenly via sharing. If you can't find a suitable guild to join then go to the guildhall lobby door and form one, you'll easily quadruple your available storage space, get a hp/mana pool room and fast transport gnome, plus other nice stuff

Your buddy could burn out early because class distinction doesn't become apparent until levels 55+. Dailies are a fast way to level, but they kinda suck the sense of adventure out of the game. So, don't fall into the rut of logging in and doing boring dailies day after tedious day. Hit some of the older zones like Runnyeye at 20, or go to LoIO or The Overthere, mix it up, get your toons killed because nothing is more boring than never chancing things. Keep your pal engaged. Let your friend try new classes and they may possibly discover one they really enjoy playing.

Druid and Shaman are good healers and offer up nice buffs, enchanter is super useful, monk can be fun with patience and practice and I've always liked rangers. Roll up characters of the same race and do some of the city quests. Iksar class-specific quests are pretty good.
