Greetings.

Since I am a premium member, I just received an e-mail about Zam. Perhaps this will help influence more people to support the site.

Prices have been lowered. Here are the new pricing plans:

$1.00 monthly (previously $4.99/month)
$5.00 bi-annually (new tier)
$9.00 annually (previously $29.99/month)

If you're a former premium member or were on the fence about paying, maybe this will influence you to either come back or perhaps help out with $1 a month?

Anyway, have a great day. May the odds ever be in your favor (as far as the election goes, haha).

Ok. I was in the "not a dime more" camp a while back. But, the work that all you volunteers do + the Item Collector (which I never expected) + I really don't want to site to die = I'd gladly pay $10 a year. Forever. But, I went to the "Premium" page and it offered me the option to re-up for $29.99 at year.

So - is this a general offer? Can you get me a link? I'd pay today.

I too received this email and am a little confused. I looked back at my subscription information email from my previous renewal, and it was $29.99/year not $29.99/month. So are they really dropping it to $9.00/year? I am not complaining, mind you, just wondering if their email is correct.

The pricing in the email is correct. Except the former annual price that we apparently missed changing from /month to /year. Sorry about that.

I'll be working to change the price on subscription pages shortly. I apologize the actual sign up form hasn't been changed yet, but it should be very soon. Give it a few more days and hopefully the price will be updated. Thank you for your patience! :)

Hmm... my email said pretty much the same thing about pricing but then went on to add that my sub has been extended from expiring Sept 18, 2017 to expiring Nov 27, 2019. That's an extension of over 2 years 2 months! Using my right brain the way I interpret this is they took my last $29.99 annual payment and reworked it at $9.00, thereby turning a one-year renewal into a three-year plus renewal. It would have been a bit more forthcoming to simply refund the difference of $20.99 and let me decide annually whether to renew. But like some have posted above I would have kept my sub at $30/yr, as long as useful material is added and kept current, because allakhazam has been the best continuing source of info about EQ, including even Sony and DBG sites and forums, anywhere on the web, and been that way for over a decade now. $9/month is a true bargain and this is a smart move because it's hard for me to imagine anyone even semi-serious about succeeding at EQ wouldn't invest $9 for a year's worth of premium services and info.

That's odd. Mine said "As an existing ZAM Premium subscriber, your membership has been retroactively adjusted based on the new prices. Your new expiration date will be extended from Sunday, August 14, 2016 to Sunday, August 14, 2016."

I keep scratching my head about that.

My email was similar to Sippin's, whereby my membership was retroactively adjusted with the expiration extended from Nov. 11, 2016 to March 11, 2018.

That may just be because of your admin account, you do still seem to have premium accessible, it's just your subscription doesn't actually renew while you're an admin, because it's included for volunteering. Let me know via accounts@zam.com if that isn't the case.

That may just be because of your admin account, you do still seem to have premium accessible, it's just your subscription doesn't actually renew while you're an admin, because it's included for volunteering. Let me know via accounts@zam.com if that isn't the case.

Just an FYI: there seems to be a problem with the premium sign up. I signed up at 2pm on 11/14 and received a confirmation email. 11 hours later at 1am 11/15 I received an email that my premium had expired (and it is no longer active on the site as well). I'm mildly bothered about this...

Should I send in a help request via accounts@zam.com? Credit card shows ZAM payment as still pending. Still the expire notice from ZAM seems odd...

The expiration was an error that affected some people. A correction email was supposed to be sent but it's entirely possible you didn't get it. If you EVER have any issues with Premium feel free to email me at accounts@zam.com -- I'm always happy to help!

Even though you don't need to be a premium member to use it, yesterday we released the updated Item Collector for the EoK expansion. It should be working for all, if you have any issues please try the following first to resolve it:

1) The local DB format changed. The program should automatically update to the new format, however, if your items are never being sent to the server delete the itemcol3.db file and restart the Item Collector.
2) Remember, if you change any settings you will need to zone to restart the collection engine.

The invalid item() issue should be resolved, as it is using the new packet format to locate the items. If you are having any issues, please post with as much information about what you were doing when it happened. If backend.exe does crash, please try and locate the crash dump so that I can debug what happened.

Finally, while I am working on a new installation program the old will work with a couple changes. When you run it, DO NOT load the winpcap that comes with it. You should now be using the newest driver win10pcap found at http://www.win10pcap.org/download/Win10Pcap-v10.2-5002.msi

You may also be missing the VCRUNTIME140.DLL. Please follow the directions that Tobynn wrote up in the following post: https://everquest.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=1&mid=14734572313608318&h=100&p=1#30

I talked to a ZAM engineer today and he said that they are checking into the freezing issues.

If you experience any of these freezes, please post here at what time (your timezone too) these are occurring at, what you were doing at the time and post any error messages you get. Normally it's the proxy error message for me and it normally occurs when I try to post anything on the forums attached to items, npc's, quests and so forth. I've started to keep track of these freezes myself to help them out.
