Lucy Item Collector toolFollow

#1 Mar 29 2011 at 9:06 AM Rating: Excellent
Many moons ago, I had the Lucy Item Collector installed and running.
I have built new systems since then but cannot find any real information regarding this program.

Is it still out there and if so why is there not a Wiki entry on how to set it up etc?

Thanks in advance,

Installed this today. Ran rpcapd.exe first. Then ran eq item collector. It says No interfaces found! Make sure pcap is installed. Under Options, Settings the Network Interface window is blank. I understand it should display at least one option such as my nic card and what ports it's using. Any suggestions to get it working properly would be appreciated.
Eq Item Collector is installed to C:\EQItem
rpcapd.exe is installed in C:\Program Files\WinPcap

Some systems require a restart after installing PCap for it to work correctly (maybe even all systems now).

Restarted system. Manually ran rpcapd.exe. Ran eq item collector. It still does not recognize that pcap is running or see any network interfaces. I suppose alla has enough contributors already. sigh.

You running Win8? It doesn't work on it. If you use a Wireless networking, it won't recognize those. Most systems have a wired network connection, even if not used, and Lucy usually recognizes those, as well as DUN connection, and sometimes a MS tunnel driver or something to that effect. So Lucy not finding anything is strange.

That's about as much as I got. If you want to look into further, you probably need to ask in the Tech help forum and they'll probably want alot more detail about your system to figure it out.

Best of Luck.

Might uninstall the updated winPCap and just let the one that comes with Lucy run. They have a pretty new version with Lucy now, that works with 64-bit systems. Think it's 4.1 version. Just for one more quick thing to try. You'll probably want to restart after changing PCap versions.

Got this to work today.

Did have to go to wincap itself as the download within Lucy itself (of that part) didn't agree with my computer.

Another good is here on the official boards, which is ironic as it is talking about Allakhazam.
