Is it just me or do most 90's think they are above everyone? I was looking at a 90 cleric and asked for a temp, willing to tip and she said no and walked away. I'm not saying every 90 is like that. But, C'mon!!!! You were a 30 once too.

It's easy to generalize about 90's... easy to generalize about people at the level cap anywhere, any game. Just remember that people get distracted, have priorities, are afk, or are in a bad mood. Anywhere you look you will find friendly people ready to help and angry people who won't.

EQ has one of the most friendly helpful player bases I know so my suggestion is to just assume you ran into someone having a bad day.

I concur with Samatman. I have no trouble getting buffs by offering in ooc to donate. Most folks nowadays will not take the donation, but I always offer.

On AB I occasionally jump on my wife's cleric to MGB temp in various newbie zones. Unfortunately there have been times I have had to turn down a request for temp, but never because I just don't want to cast it. It is usually because I am heading to rez a friend or have a group already waiting on me.

On the other hand though, even at 90 with my shaman, I see a lot of other 90's who won't talk to you unless you have over a certain amount of AA's etc. There will always be elitists, I just try to avoid them no matter what level or toon I am on.

Most of us has experienced unfriendly types in game. When I first started EQ , I remember once when I got stuck in the pool at the ZI in Shadowhaven and asked a couple max lvl characters for help in /ooc....the first guy ignored me and went his way. The second person I asked made fun and called me a noob. But the third person ( a veteran playing his low lvl alt.) who zoned in told me how to get out of the pool( I didn't even ask him for help). He then asked me if I wanted to group with him in Paludal Caverns with his alt.

We went to PC and I learned a lot from him in the 3 or so hours we grouped for. After that we went to the bankers and he gave me a weapon that was a major upgrade to the low end one I had at the time.

What I am getting at is that for every mean or elitist person in EQ there are as many max lvl people who are genuinely nice from all playstyles (incl. Raiders, Boxers,Groupers and some people who primarily solo). Its just that the mean ones are sometimes the most vociferous. And people are usually inclined to remember the worst experiences for longer than the good ones.

Also lets not forget the fact that they may not even have had temp. Lots of folks these days will just powerlevel and not worry about getting their low level spells.
