I don't know why they'd exclude Test. But it's already active. So log in, type /market and find out.

So, it appears that there are a few like-minded people in this thread.

Does anyone have a suggestion for another MMO out there that is not EQII or WoW? I also do not care for PvP games.

It would be cool if we all found a game to migrate to.

I've never tried any others than the ones you mentioned. I know Curt Schilling is suppose to be coming out with a game but I don't know when or what it is. You might check out some of the other games on this site to see if any appeal to you.

It's disheartening how pure greed can completely destroy a game world like EQ.I guess it's human nature though and that's why this country is heading for another great depression.Oh well,I am also looking to become a refugee to another game like EQ was from 99-02.I'm looking to invest another 5+ years to it and am building a rig now to run modern games.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nice post Jophiel.

They are slowly killing the golden goose. people would keep paying the monthly fee if they pretty much just maintaned the game, but this is just greedy. I love eq but almost every change makes me wonder if it's still that fun anymore. I think EQ players want a game that is hard and about surviving, not convienince, otherwise they would have moved to another game. But if the convienince is there people are going to use it, like pok books, mercs, potions, guild porter, summoner etc

Yeah I got that on mine also. Is it per toon or is it like LoN where it's one account?

Warhammer is intriguing, but the PVP aspect is central to where the end game is heading (and is the only thing busy on many servers in the mid-game). Also the PVE follows the WoW quest model, so from my EQ viewpoint its pretty empty of value if you aren't going to do pvp in some form.

I've had people tell me that Vanguard is way better now --and that its a shame they didnt release it a bit later in its more polished form.

I have to remember during the anniversary event to go and get another 10 shot of the xp potions.

Can only do that once per toon.

well from what i've seen the damn **** is all over priced anyway.. 10 bucks for an xp potion.. hmm and i bet it works like other xp potions and is a buff ie it dissapears when you die.. so I spend 10 bucks and die because i am not paying attention 5 minutes later.. hmm..

but for the guy that says you dont have a choice about having 10 buck... buddy if i had an extra 50+ hrs a week i most certailny could make 10 bucks.. time is money if you have time turn it into cash.

You know, I find this entirely funny and hilarious. I remember that 5 or 8 years ago, people would have a poo-fit if they knew that your character was a twink. And why? Well because twinks were evil; they spoiled the game because it was unfair to see level 20 toon decked out like a level 50 character.

Then a couple years later, people would then have another poo-fit over ebayed accounts; saying that players with ebayed accounts spoiled the game because they didn't know how to play their classes.

Now fast forward to today. No one cares weather or not you are playing a twink or if you bought your account from Ebay anymore. Instead, people are now having the another poo-fit; this time it's about buying SoE virtual products. And why? Because it spoils the game, the products are noobish, etc...etc...etc.. and the list goes on.

Well, personally, I do not buy nor will I ever plan on buying SoE virtual products. And do I think that this whole virtual market is stupid? Well, yes...but SoE is a business and business do need to find a way to make money. And I think that this whole scheme is just another way for SoE to survive in the gamer's market; after all, they did just laid off over 10K worth of people. But at the end, I am going to treat this SoE virtual market like every other issue I see in the past - I am going to ignore it and roll with it. So treat this virtual market like TV; if I don't like what's on the current channel, I am either going to change the channel or turn the TV off.

Hell, it's just a game and at the end of the day, life doesn't care if you are on the leaderboard's top ten or if you have the latest and greatest loot; you are going to get screwed and die just like the rest of us.

I've never had a real problem with twinking.

I'm still against eBay'ing accounts.

Since I didn't care then about twinking and still care now about selling accounts, am I still allowed to object to Station Cash?

After all the ******** I have done over the years about SOE greed, this one doesnt bother me at all. It is straight forward opposed to the sneaky way they would put juicy items in new expansions to get you to buy them only to be nerfed away at a later date.

I expect them to make money. They are a business after all with bills to pay. If this is what it takes to keep the game servers up then so be it.

Keep the game in the black I say. Because some bean counter in Japan may just decied to pull the plug on EQ in a random attempt to cut Sony's budget.
