So, I got these three necklaces (well, in fact I got only one of them, but I could get the two others, too) and I just can't decide which one would be the best...
The +5 atk on the Collar is very nice, but the other stats... So please give me your opinion!

Collar of Vigor:

The Collar is a great item, but the drop rate was set too high (as were a lot of level 40-ish OOW items). The result is that they're too common IMHO.

I voted for the Broken Shore Shell Necklace. It has better AC, STR and good STA.

Assuming your Alla's profile is up-to-date, I'd go with the Strand of Sea Pearls, primarily because of the raw AC (you shouldn't of hit the softcap on that yet) and raw HP/Mana/End. You're not going to gain anything from the extra STR of the Broken Shore necklace or the STA of the Collar of Vigor since you can selfbuff those to your current cap. The +5 attack on the Collar of Vigor is ok, but not a huge deal.

Jiggy's right on but wanted to add one clarification.

If you mainly group and are not MT you, of course, want to pile up DPS - so the extra attack would be useful. Beasties though, can solo and tank well into their 60's in which case you'll find more and more that your AC is gonna be your limiting factor.

AC, AC and more AC.

I agree with the AC sentiments. You can buff all the necessary stuff to cap. You can still use the AC, so I would go with that.

It is definitely a toss-up between the Strand and the Necklace.

I went with Mandie on this and voted for the Necklace.

The STA won't do you any good since you are maxed there already. Plus the 5 additional STR won't do much either. (Though the advantage is it would let you get rid of other gear that you may be holding on to for either of those stats).

To me, it was the additional resists on the necklace that got my vote. Especially the 10MR vs 3MR. Total resists are 20 (necklace) vs 13 (strand).

That is a big enough difference (plus the extra DEX, STR, STA) to sway me towards the necklace and say pass on the strand with its 5 extra HP.

The +15 mana should not matter that much to you, unless you find that you are constantly running low on mana, which I doubt since you are a BL. If you were a pure caster, the +15 mana would make this a no brainer.

I voted for the Broken Shore Shell Necklace since the physical stats seem to help out more for a beastlord. But then again, I have never played one either.

It may be a little hard to find one at a good price point but if you can manage I would suggest:

It used to be a big ticket item but with all the new gear you SHOULD be able to find one for under 10k.

I grabbed one in the bazaar on Tunare for 8k a few months back for my level 56 BST.

I think I'll go with the Broken Shore Shell Necklace.

Apparently, the +5 atk on the Collar of Vigor is not as a big deal as I thought, especially when I'm soloing.

Recapitulating, the +7 on saves and the +1 on AC is the reason why I'm gonna favour the Broken Shore Shell Necklace over the Strand of Sea Pearls (and this will compensate for the -5 HP and the -15 Mana, I think).

Rate up on the participants! (At least on those who gave their feedback) Smiley: yippee
