Do you play EQ at work?Follow

I'm at work... and I want to play but these pc's won't handle it. Plus I'd hate to get my boss upset over it. But I was curious if many people actually try to get away with playing EQ while they are at work.

At my current job, no. At my last job, the company sort of went out of business, got taken over by a bonding company and slowly dismantled to skeleton crew. My last about 4 months of employment there I did not have much to do and had a private office, so I did play a bit. But since it was work and someone could come in or need me at any time without notice, I really could not risk an exp grp or exp soloing with my main, so I did lots of tradeskilling and vendor diving and played low level alts instead. I made alot of plat vendor diving those 4 months, and got all my mains tradeskills up to near 200 and 2 over 200 from basically 0.

I found out at the end that the fact that I was always on my computer and looked busy kept me there about 2 months longer than the bonding company originally planned. =)

I used to have a sweet job at a small local ISP...would brong my home computer in to use there and could run EQ, though mostly just leaving it in the Bazaar. Or I'd bring in my laptop. When I was working overnight shifts...forget it, I'd take the phone off the hook and play all night!

You need to be on really good terms with a really lenient boss to pull that kind of stuff off, though.

Come to think of it, my overnight shifts at the ISP was around the same time my necro was created.

I work for my self! So if a patient doesnt show and Im all caught up, I make a few potions or buff newbs or clean the guild bank up.

at my old job wheni lived in NJ i used to work 6pm - 6am and would be bale to play from 7pm - midnight then teh work would start to come in..

Nope. Im a high school teacher, and it would be pretty difficult to teach and xp grind.

Necro main, guilty as hell. FD, walk away from the comp, come back 2 hours later and no worries. Just rebuff and go at it again. It use to be annoying when 2 minutes of FD killed your pet. I did a lot of root / rotting in those days.

I own my own company , so if i decide to play EQ at work its at my own discretion.

My boss's desk if 500 miles away, this year they bought me a brand new Dell Optiples. Quite a nice machine considering its a Dell. However this year they also took me off Cable and put me on a Satellite dish. Lattency sucks, and if it rains, limited connectivity. Satellite is nothing but problems if you ask me.

So, once upon a time I oould and did. but now, due to upgrades, it does not seem likely.

Must be nice to not work at work :P And still get payed. So just what is it that you do?

The job I have allows me to play at work all be it using a satellite system to do so. The lag is the worst thing to deal with but I have had some very nice group's and even raids doing this.
