Opinions please!
1.If all of us asked real nice is there any chance that SOE might specify certian servers for different time zones. And If we could convince them of that. then allows player to trasfer to those severs for free for a short period of time.

our are there already some servers better for one or another time zones. If so can someone clue me in.

To the best of my knowlege the servers are played 24 hours a day are you looking for a guild that is on PST or do you want them to split the patch times up?

motivation is guild/play related I have tried to find a guild That is PST but they are all lv 56 plus I am in a guild that I really like on Sunday I Can get up at 6am and play till 11 or 12 and have a great time. during the week I offten am one of three to four players online out of a Guild of like 45 or so main + alts = 75 active players. It just seems to me that buy making a server time zone prefered (not specific) that it would raise the population at peak times for those interested in the social aspect of the game and at same time thin them out for those that Like to solo or group when thigs are quiet. peps in Hawaii could sign on at there peak time to an east coast server and it would be empty or a Hawaii and it would be more crowded than now. Just an Idea. It would be no more than an addition to the name of the server. (The Nameless/Innoruk PST prefered) or such

West coast time is always tough. I reccomend going to the guild lobby and use the player looking for a guild feature. They usually have what time zone they work off of.

Being on the west coast myself I never really found a guild that started raidning later then 5pm PST which is tough as most people are just getting off work at 5.

Good luck

make yourself a toon you can solo with well (e.g. chanter, necro, shaman, druid, Beastlord, wizard), and then solo if no groups are available. for your level of experience I'd suggest the BL though, he's the most straightforward solo toon to play imho.

by the way, empty zones means less competition for camps. not a bad thing sometimes Smiley: waycool

edit: as to the original question (hehe): I don't think it would be beneficial.

I understand how you feel TRab. My guild is PST and I'm on EST. The only reason for not leaving is they are a great bunch of people. So basically I'm one of like 2 or 3 online until like 9pm EST. What I did was get another account and now I box a little war and a cleric. I'm having a lot of fun again in EQ.

Most of my guild members are mid-west or east coast as are people out of guild and I am in west coast time.

Really doesn't seem to cause much a problem. On weekends I get up early and play and at night, because of work or school the next day, they leave a few hours before me. I can either solo, try and find a group or work on tradeskills or explore after most have left. Don't really want to do a DON or something of that sort after a certain time anyway during the week since it may go too long and I also have to work.

Am fine with the way it is now.

If I recall WoW setup certain servers for certain time zones. As much as it would be awesome to have a pst server the bottom line is it wouldnt be worth messing with the established communities and I dobt there is anywhere near enough new players to support such a thing.

They may have missed an opportunity during the /movelog nerger days.

Why is it that people in the Midwest are such nerds???

I can't believe that everyone that plays EQ is in the EST/EDT time zone Smiley: yikes

I think that everyone is right on finding a guild or group of players that is online when oyu are, or learning to solo... otherwise find your peak hours and log into every server and start a toon.. until you ifnd the magic one that is busy at 7pm pst on a thursday evening and then oyu have your new home.

My last couple guilds had memebrs in PST and europe. We made them officers and told them to recruit members from their time zones. THe brits did great, the cali kids were crappy recruiters. So we basically became 2 gorups in one guild with separate peak times and since we weren't a raid guild it was nice, if you had the day off work you could hang with the brits, if they had the next morning off they would play late with us. Like I said though we were a family guild and basically ground exp or farmed TS stuff with the occasional epic fight.
