Simple question but i am really interested to see the different techniques that people use with tribute. I just started building my tribute and would like to see what can be done with it

Really depends on what class. Theres a lot of cool stuff to use with tribute points. For my pally I mainly use the hp tribute and with my druid I use FT and burning affliction.

On my rogue, I use the see invis, attack increase, hp increase, dex cap increase, and str cap increase.

It used to Bum me out when I would be soloing and find a No-Drop item that wasn't for my class. Now though...WooHoo! Those badboys go right to the Tribute Master.

I also use the FT and Burning affliction for my druid.
(And when you have Kei and the Tribute FT...Boy does the Mana Flow!)

I have FT4, Burning Affliction II, Spell Haste III loaded. Whenever I am solo and cannot get KEI, I turn on the tribute buffs.

My 53 warrior uses Tribute HP regen. If I had lots more Tribute Points available, I would also put points into categories like vsMg, HP, STA, or AGI.

But, since Tribute Points are limited, I conserve by just purchasing HP regen.

Tribute is also helpful for raid situations or important boss fights. For those situations I would splurge on as many helpful Tribute benefits as I can, and I would wait until confronting the boss mob to activate Tribute since the combined benefits would be expensive.

I didn't know that no-drop was tributable, I will check when I get home tonight.

I recently gave up my haste item (Soulscream Belt) for a much better waist slot item (Wormhusk Harness). As such, I use tribute for worn haste (36%). I just turn it on as we start adventuring and then turn it off when I'm done. I also added the 3rd or 4th tier of AC into there, just because the AC does help some when I am tanking.

I used to have the HP in there as well, but the benefits of 75 extra hps (further tiers got really costly) were outweighed by the cost of the Haste + AC + HP. So, I dropped that one.

I have actually just started using the Tribute this week for my Ranger when soloing. The addition the Swiftarms haste benefit made was extremely noticable, stacking with Eye Patch of Plunder. I would recommend to every melee class to use at minimum the Tier 1 Switfarms, which is only a 5 point cost for a 21% haste. With that success, I have bumped up to Tier 3, and will be turning on several others.

There is a good listing of items to turn in for Tribute points here : http://www.rpgexpert.com/1349.html .

I was at the bazaar last night and picked up some items at a 30:1 ratio for turning in. Items costing 300 plat can yeild 10,000 tribute points. With that many points, the Tier 1 Swiftarms will run for 300 continous hours.

Journey far and fare well!

Wow that was the fastest responce I have ever seen.
They contacted RPGEXPERT and got the link removed :)

That list has been on rpgexpert.com for a couple of months at least and is still linked on the main rpgexpert EQ page, however link is broken right now. I do not believe anyone had it removed, rather it is probable that rpgexperts may have to reuplaod the file onto the server due to normal file degradation on its server.

I just tried the link on my previous post, and it is working (cleared the cache, etc., on my browser before hand as well). Some items on the list are incorrect, such as the Blade of Insanity. It shows a Tribute of 9000, when in reality it is 3100. Still, I picked up one of those babies for 150p in the Bazaar last night, and turned it in. Also, Feathered Cloak of the Lost has 20k Tribute points (did not verify the 20k is still valid), and I am seeing those for 2k or so in the Bazaar. That is a lot of tribute buff for a the 2k plat.

Since the prior post, I went to a Tier 4 for Swiftarms, and wow!! what a killer this ranger is! Took down four dark blue Sambata Tribul dudes in the 10 minute tribute span. Next, took one down completely with Trueshot and about 65 arrows. I have never been able to completely take down a blue mob with Trueshot still being active at the end of the fight. Prior to Tier 4 swiftness, the same Sambata Tribal mob would get to about 45% when 'natures energy' expires. Then I typically melee them. For solo, this is excellent!

Journey far and fare well!

If you are still having problems, I will 'copy' the list to this forum.

I know a good one is the mistletoe cutting sickle. It costs on average 400pp on my server, and tributes for over 2k. Not as huge of a return as some of the things neverdone was talking about, but still pretty good.

Keep in mind that the tribute haste is considered worn haste, so if you have a worn haste item already, they won't stack, only the higher of the two will take effect. The reason it stacks with eyepatch of plunder is because it's considered V1 spell haste (the same as chanter, shaman and most bard hastes). So if you have a good worn haste item, spending tribute on haste might not be as productive for you.

Hit ALT+U and hit the little button that says "activate". Your 10 minute timer will start ticking down. To turn it off, hit the same button that now says "deactivate" and it'll turn off. Extremely simple for the amount of benefits you could theoretically get from it.
