I'm happy after the patch.
For me the game looks sharper, I'm not lagging as much. I was having a problem with my character models, but they are normal again and I'm zoning so much faster now.
And I haven't come across any problems yet, in relation to the patch and it ******** up my game.

I seem to be zoning slightly slower, however, I used to zone pretty fast anyway so I think just the loading of the zone screen is taking up the few seconds difference I'm noticing.

I can't comment on graphics improvements as I turned off all of the bells and whistles on my 9500Pro to try to make it work well with shadows. Seems to work fine in unoccupied zones but approaching the adventure camp in BB or the bank in POK slows my system to 2-5 FPS. Even having someone run across my FOV causes the system to hiccup with shadows on.

Other than that I haven't noticed any issues. The servers stayed up all of last night, which is the first time I remember that ever happening on the night after a patch.

My battle graphics were all messed up last night after patch. No graphics for slashing, blunt or archery but did have it for bashing - go figure (was watching my dialog box closely and fortunately was still doing damage to the mob). No one else in my group was having a similar problem - so that's kinda scary. Bugged it and have my fingers crossed.

I liked the way the player names show up, seem to have more depth or something, and the mobs sparkling away after looting is cool. Oh, and the 'link' option in the loot screen seems handy, although didn't actually use yet.

Since your froggie had no attack animations for me, I think it's safe to say that you're not broken, rather the global attack animations for frogloks are. If the patch had messed you up, only you wouldn't be seeing the animations.

I didn't notice any crippling issues last night. Except that there's a new vampire in the castle in Ten. Mts now who ganks Trixie whenever he wings on past Smiley: laugh Hopefully he's far enough away from the boss guy when he spawns... I was trying to get a guildie the Vamp Helm.

Oh yeah.. and I think my PBAE songs might be broken Smiley: wink2

I like the new expansion, nice touch seeing frosty breath from players and mobs in EF.

I zoned very quick before, so don't know if any change resulted and I have had np with lag before or now - went to POK, EF camp, N Ro camp, and BB camp last night.

I did run into a problem after finishing one of the 2 EF LDONs last night. I gated to N Ro (bind point) and was selling to magus when I got a low on virtual memory warning on the computer which dumped me out to desktop. Was able to reload quickly and resumed selling and about a minute later went LD.

Again reloged quickly and hooked back up with the group to split. BTW I looted both LDONs which were normal that we ended after finishing collects and higher loots than I usually see - first one was over 150 plat alone and second one around 200 plat. We did get 1 nice gem drop of 119 plat but rest was normal. Also had 3 augs drop in the 2. Level was 58 to 64.

Things seem smoother for me. I like the way your corpse fades after you loot it. One problem I had was my find NPC feature wasn't working correctly. All I got were a few sparklies. I had this problem several months ago before I got my new video card. If this expansion has made my current card incompatible I'm gonna be p*szed.

I found that video lag could be fixed up well by lowering the Actor Clip Plane. Its under Options->Display->Advanced button.

The slider defaults to the middle, I out it to about 25% so the game only draws npc's and pc's closer to you. It makes a huge difference to lag in general, and the older the video cards the more dramatic the effect of the slider from what I have seen. I tend to adjust it downward in PoK and PoT, but raise it when hunting so I see mobs further away again. It very zone dependent.

It may just be me, but I thought this has been there for quite some time....At least since PoP.

it seems like theres a memory leak, after nine hours of being on zoning times had increased to 8 minutes, and I had to turn all graphics off. rebooting instantly fixed it

After seeing others with the problems on SOEs boards I upgraded my video drivers to the latest 4.9 version and turned everything up to max quality. Enabled all extra settings in EQ and turned off shadows. The system ran smooth as silk. Better than before the patch. I clicked shadows back on and I was down to 2 FPS again. So I think im happy with the improvements just as long as I pretend the shadows option doesn't exist :)

More likely it's me and I just happened to noticed the link while marveling over the new stuff (and worrying about my broken frog). Smiley: blush

I got the driver update message yesterday and did just that. And now the hair on the new models is screwed up -- everyone has white hair except for their bangs which is whatever color their hair is supposed to be.

Thanks, Sony! Smiley: tongue

When you click the link it will dump the contents of the corpse into whatever chatbox you had last selected. So if you have your default channel set to group all you have to do is click then hit enter. A huge timesaver in LDoN's when your in the last 3 minutes of the dungeon and the named drops Smiley: smile

Joph, my husband had a similar problem. One of his files was messed up, and the patcher wasn't catching it. I had to copy the file from my directory into his. I'm at work now, so the name of the file is escaping me ATM.

PM me if you want, and maybe I can get the right file to you somehow if it doesn't sort itself out.

Thanks. Sent ya a PM. Which makes one wonder why I'm posting here, but I do have a reason!

I forgot to say in the PM if you can get me the file name, that should be enough. I can always delete or rename my copy of the file and let the patcher reload it properly. Thanks for your help!
